I am who I am because the tears of my past have watered the magnificence of my present. -Dr.Steve Maraboli

Lucy says, “I knew it was you! The whole time, I knew it, but the others didn’t believe me.”
Aslan replies, “And, why would that stop you from coming to me?”
Initially only Lucy sees Aslan. The others don’t believe her and she is forced to choose between following Aslan or staying with the others. Discipleship is often like that – and Aslan teaches her that she should not let herself be held back by other people’s unbelief.

"And even though I know how very far apart we are, it helps to think we might be wishing on the same bright star"

If love is easy to obtain, everyone would be happy and content right now. No more tears, no broken hearts, no shattered dreams, nor even pain. But everyone knows it ain't easy... And that's what makes true love hard to find. That's what makes love and all the wait and all the journey worth it.

Time Forgets....

Feelings change, but love doesn't. Therefore, love is not based on feelings alone.

So now I have to say goodbye because that's the right thing to do. But who knows? We might see each other again...

"One light, one candle
Shining through the night for me
One light, one candle
Even though it's dark I still can see"

-- These are the lyrics of the song I used to listen to as a child, from a casette tape called "Beary Sleepy". Sadly, I can't find it anywhere on the internet today. I wonder if anyone here has listened to Beary Sleepy, or if this tape's still out on the market?? o.o

"Little children, we must stop expressing love merely by our words and manner of speech; we must love also in action and in truth."

Good deeds and kind words-- you never know how much they impact the lives of others...

I love hearing people share their life's adventures. I love reading books of different stories. They just make me realize that I am not alone. They just make me realize that in every situation that I currently encounter, and situations that are yet to come; I am not alone after all.

Stepping Out of Your Comfort Zone

“The single best way to develop leaders . . . is to take people out of their safe environment and away from the people they know, and throw them into a new arena they know little about. Way over their head, preferably. In fact, the more demanding their challenges, the more pressure and risk they face, the more likely a dynamic leader will emerge.”

Feeling Lethargic...

Now, I understand why some people tend to be sluggish as a result of tiredness. I think exhaustion would be a better description. I remember reading the book, "The Dream Giver" by Bruce Wilkinson, which I am planning to read again. It is an inspiring fictional story describing or illustrating God's great purpose in our lives and how we
should respond to it.

Ordinary is the main character of the book. He is just an ordinary person, as the name puts it, but not until God gave him this dream one morning. His journey toward his dream wasn't easy. There are doubts, lots of uneasiness, and discouraging people. In fact, most of these people are the ones closest in his heart.

I wish I could go back to the chapter on which he felt exhausted. I want to remember what he practically did, so I can do it right now, given my present feeling. Gladly, God reminded me that all I have to do is to rest for a while, kneel and pray.

Anyway, here's a wonderful quote from the book:

"For it is God who works in you to will and to act in order to fulfill his good purpose." -Philippians 2:13

Catch a falling star and put it in your pocket
Never let it fade away
Catch a falling star and put it in your pocket
Save it for a rainy day

There is joy in serving the Lord.

I'm so so so tired of caring and wondering and worrying. But I know that there's Someone who truly cares. Someone who catches me whenever I fall and Someone who has a marvelously tailored plan for my life.

Indeed. Good 'ol papery companion :)

Have you experienced being overloaded with things to read? I have a really bad habit of buying a book and not reading it or bookmarking links of helpful, informative articles and not reading them. But I know that I am not alone in this. I know a lot of people dealing with this.

They would sometimes post links on their walls to save it, because they find the title or the topic of the article really interesting. I would do that, everyday, I think; to the point that I hardly find everything already because it's below my Facebook’s timeline already, bombarded with new posts.

As we know, it happens mostly because of lack of time. I really wish I have really more time to read these very interesting and insightful topics. And I wish I could device a great strategy to change this bad habit. I wish I have time to read everything. Oh well, what can you suggest?

The Best Way to Write Well

The best way to write is to feed your mind with plenty of thoughts through reading to be able to craft a wonderful output. Indeed, it is impossible to write without reading a lot. How can you generate information without feeding your brain with new ones? It's hard to generate your mind with new ideas by itself. While writing from experience is also a good source of a great story, reading is where you get a good practice of your grammar and learning more creative words. Moreover, it sets your horizons in a broader perspective, as you are able to see from other writer’s view(s).

Two roads diverged in a wood, and I,
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference

-Robert Frost , The Road Not Taken

Brother, i can't help make their lives better any longer. They seem to constantly choose the other way around. What I can do, at least, is to make ours better.

I could tell you a lot of things... but you seem like the person who does not truly listen...

It's just wonderful how people in their current not-so-fortunate situation manage to cheer someone else up.

It's really a natural instinct for men to leave after they got brokenhearted, isn't it?

While the world is giving me millions of reasons to give up, God is giving me infinite reasons to endure.

Staircase to Nowhere

Something fiery inside me has brought me to the 114th step. But then, discouragements have brought me 113 steps down. Restoring my drive, I again started on my journey---climbing up a staircase that seems to lead nowhere, but held an enormous grip in my heart. It was nearly halfway when I realized that my body was too tired to climb further; and for the first time, I asked myself if it's a worthwhile journey.
